Love was in the air in Week 1 of the Australian Open as the tennis couples stole the show.

Take a glimpse at our favorite tennis couples in action in Melbourne.

1. Elina Svitolina and Gael Monfils

The married duo pulled off an amazing feat. They played back-to-back, came from behind, and upset the World No. 4 seeds, Taylor Fritz and Jasmine Paolini. Gael Monfils has been incredible in 2025, capturing the ASB Classic title right before the Australian Open. Elina Svitolina, a native Ukrainian, has been persevering on the WTA Tour as a mom.  They always each other on and off the court. After recovering from the Fritz match, Monfils was in Svitolina’s box.

In the Round of 16, Gael Monfils will play Ben Shelton, and Elina Svitolina will play Veronika Kudermetova.

2. Madison Keys and Bjorn Fratangelo

Adelaide International title days before the Australian Open.

Madison Keys will play Elena Rybakina in the Round of 16.

3. Katie Boulter and Alex de Minaur

The newly engaged couple is still celebrating a recent engagement at the Australian Open.  Katie Boulter lost in the second round to Verionia Kudermetova.  Before that, she was spotted doing prematch warmups in front of the television watching Alex de Minaur’s match.  De Minaur was also in her box for her matches.

Alex de Minaur will play Alex Michelsen in the Round of 16.

4. Paula Badosa and Stefanos Tsitsipas

It is good to see Stefanos Tsitsipas ing Paula Badosa as she did when she was sidelined with a back injury for most of 2023.  Though Tsitsipas was upset by Alex Michelsen in the first round, he has been in her box and the players’ areas of the grounds ing her.

The two had a funny on-court exchange when she was frustrated during her match.  He was motioning for her to calm down while she was motioning for him to take the racquet and play.

Paula Badosa will face Coco Gauff in the Round of 16.

Could one of these tennis couples have an Australian Open champion among them? We will find out in about a week.
