As part of the 2025 NFL Schedule Release, Netflix announced the NFL Christmas Gameday doubleheader set for Thursday, Dec. 25.

Netflix Will Stream Two NFL Games On Christmas Day

Christmas Day football for the second consecutive season.

The first of two games will be an NFC East rivalry. The Dallas Cowboys head to the nation’s capital to take on the Washington Commanders.

The action streams on Netflix at 1 p.m. ET, from Northwest Stadium in Landover, Maryland.

The Cowboys and Commanders split the season series 1-1 a season ago. The most recent meeting came in Week 18, with the Commanders pulling out a 23-19 victory.

Christmas Day is in Week 17, so both teams could be in playoff contention, making the stakes high for the Dec. 25 showdown.

The second game of the doubleheader heads to the NFC North as the Detroit Lions take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Kickoff is set for 4:30 p.m. ET, from U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Last season, the Lions and Vikings were two of the best teams in the NFC. However, both teams lost to their first opponents in the postseason, respectively.

The Lions and Vikings met in a memorable Week 18 game in 2024 to determine the No. 1 seed and NFC North winner. Detroit won the slugfest by a score of 31-9.

With great coaches and excellent rosters, the Lions and Vikings should be competing for postseason positioning come Week 18.

CBS Sports will produce the games, and NFL Media will produce the pregame, postgame, and studio halftime shows.

The broadcast talent will be announced at a later date.

Netflix Looks To Capitalize On 2024’s Success

The NFL on Netflix was a massive success in 2024.

NFL Christmas Gameday 2024 featured the Chiefs defeating the Steelers 29-10 and the Ravens beating the Texans 31-2.

NFL Christmas Gameday 2024 reached 65 million U.S. viewers, per Nielsen.

The matchups were the two most streamed NFL games in U.S. history, garnering an average audience of over 26.5 million viewers in the U.S. and over 30 million viewers globally.

The Ravens-Texans game also included a halftime show by international superstar Beyoncé.
