We are now just days away from the start of the 2025 NFL Draft, and teams continue to lay out their plans and big boards. Final scouting reports on potential prospects are submitted and considered, as the evaluation process will continue until the final possible minutes on the evening of April 24th.

3 NFL Draft Prospects Whose Stocks Are Rising Or Falling

Which players are the scouts liking more and more in the final days? And which no longer have the favorable standing that they once did? We take a look at five prospects who have seen their stock rise or fall in recent days and weeks.

📈 NFL Stock Up: Tyler Shough – QB, Louisville

The NFL Draft Class of 2025 features two quarterbacks who are widely predicted to be the first at the position off of the board. But who the second-tier signal caller is remains a question mark, and Tyler Shough out of Louisville has a growing case for being a second (or maybe even first) round pick next weekend.

Shough spent seven years at the collegiate level, and the fact that he’ll turn 26 years old in September has kept him as a middle-round prospect. But there has been chatter about his name moving up draft boards in recent weeks, as some teams believe that he may be the most NFL-ready quarterback in the class.

📉 NFL Stock Down: Cam Skattebo – RB, Arizona State

He had one of the best seasons of any running back in 2024, but how his game and style will translate at the next level is still unknown. Cam Skattebo is a bruising runner who ate up yards over 1,700 ground yards this past season, and was a productive catcher who totaled an extra 605 yards through the air.

Unfortunately, some of his draft stock is hinged on the type of athlete he is and will become, and the results aren’t good. It was known that Skattebo lacked the breakaway speed that is essential for a top NFL running back, but he did himself no favors by running the 40-yard dash in 4.65 seconds during a recent workout in front of scouts. That number would have made for the slowest of any running back at this year’s combine.

📈NFL Stock Up: Mike Green – EDGE, Marshall

There have been some edge rushing prospects who have been mentioned more than others during the lead up to the 2025 NFL Draft. Abdul Carter is of course one of them, and Jalon Walker and Mykel Williams are expected to be first round picks. Don’t be surprised to see Mike Green’s name be called on Day 1, either, as the Marshall product has been ri draft boards throughout the process.

He led the entire nation in sacks in 2024 with 17, to which he added 23 tackles for loss. He impressed during the Senior Bowl back in February, and was the top edge rusher that participated in the NFL Combine in of Next Gen Stats rankings.
