2025 Charles Schwab Challenge Tee Times, Featured Groups, & Weather Forecast

The PGA Tour heads to Fort Worth, Texas, for the 2025 Charles Schwab Challenge this weekend. Although it’s not a signature event and comes just a week after the PGA Championship, several of the world’s top players will be in the field, including newly crowned PGA Champion Scottie Scheffler. Other standout names competing at Colonial Country Club include Hideki Matsuyama, Tommy Fleetwood, and more.

This invitational event will tee off Thursday morning at 8:00 a.m. ET, with 45 groups scheduled to play over the first two rounds.

Despite it being late May, the weather in Texas remains unpredictable. While the first round is expected to bring warm temperatures and minimal wind, conditions are forecasted to become more challenging as the weekend progresses.

• 1:34 p.m. ET — Keith Mitchell, Rickie Fowler, Tom Kim
• 1:45 p.m. ET —Daniel Berger, Davis Riley, Scottie Scheffler

The Charles Schwab Challenge is an invitational event, meaning only the top players are eligible to compete this weekend. Although it’s a prestigious tournament, its placement between the PGA Championship and the Memorial Tournament has led many top players to sit out.

Still, the field remains strong, with 10 of the top 30 players taking on the challenging Colonial Country Club course. The spotlight is on world No. 1 and reigning PGA Champion Scottie Scheffler.

There are several featured groups to watch this weekend, including Scheffler’s pairing with Daniel Berger and defending champion Davis Riley, teeing off at 1:45 p.m. ET.

Another notable group includes Tommy Fleetwood, Chris Kirk, and Jordan Spieth, who will tee off at 8:55 a.m. ET.

2025 Charles Schwab Challenge Round 1 Tee Times 

Despite being scheduled a week before a signature event, the Charles Schwab Challenge remains compelling, featuring top-ranked players and several former champions.

Among the top 30 in the world, players like Scottie Scheffler, Hideki Matsuyama, Maverick McNealy, Tommy Fleetwood, and Harris English are set to compete this weekend. Other notable names taking on the challenges of Colonial Country Club include Jordan Spieth, Si Woo Kim, and more.

Seventeen-year-old Blades Brown will also be put to the test, facing one of the toughest fields of his rookie year.

Tee times begin at 8:00 a.m. ET, with groups starting every 11 minutes from two separate tees. The final group is scheduled to tee off at 2:40 p.m. ET.

2025 Charles Schwab Challenge Weather Forecast

The weather looks promising to start the Charles Schwab Challenge at Colonial Country Club, with light winds and no chance of rain expected during the first round. However, conditions are expected to worsen as the weekend progresses, with strong winds developing over the final three rounds. According to the forecast, players could face gusts of up to 26 mph.

The chance of rain also increases throughout the weekend, with the highest likelihood expected during Sunday’s final round.
