The latest Matheus Cunha transfer news has revealed that Nottingham Forest are considering a club-record bid of £60m to land the Wolves star.

Cunha has shone for the Old Gold this season and has been widely tipped to leave Molineux for one of the Premier League’s Big Six.

Previously, Arsenal have been linked with the Brazil International. It is no secret that the Gunners are looking to enhance their attacking options.

In December, Cunha ‘liked’ an Instagram post which teased a potential switch to Manchester United. However, a move to either side is yet to gain any serious traction.

Now, Forest have ed the race for the 25-year-old forward. According to Sky Sports, the Tricky Trees are keeping a close eye on his situation in WV1 as they weigh up their bid.

A move this month will prove difficult owing to Vítor Pereira’s side being firmly involved in a relegation tussle. Understandably, the Portuguese manager wants to keep his most prized asset until at least the end of the season.

Matheus Cunha Transfer News Sees Nottingham Forest Prepare Record Bid

A Matheus Cunha transfer to Nottingham Forest has been mooted with Nuno Espirito Santo’s side chasing an unlikely top-four finish.

With that in mind, a move for Cunha at the start of the season would have certainly raised eyebrows. In fact, that same motion will be experienced by many now with Forest seemingly trying their luck.

If the Tricky Trees do finish in a European spot this season, their chances of landing Cunha will increase. Even more so if Wolves lose their Premier League status come May.

ittedly, it’ll be hard for Santo to convince Cunha his future is better off at the City Ground as opposed to Arsenal or Manchester United.

Nonetheless, the formidable squad the Portuguese manager is building offers temptation. It certainly is a fine project that is taking shape in NG2 which could sway Cunha to sign.

For Wolves this season, Cunha has scored 10 times in 21 top-flight appearances and is yet to pen a new deal at Molineux. Thus creating doubts over his long-term future.

On Saturday, the Brazilian will be back in action as the Old Gold take on the Gunners. Ahead of the game, the best football betting sites in the UK have all the latest markets and odds.
