Borussia Dortmund are reportedly eyeing a loan move for Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford but face competition from other European clubs.

Once a key figure for United, Rashford has fallen down the pecking order under Ruben Amorim, missing the last six matches across all competitions.

His exclusion from the squad has fuelled speculation about his future, with the January transfer window providing an opportunity for a fresh start.

Borussia Dortmund Considering Move for Rashford

According to David Ornstein of The Athletic, Borussia Dortmund have emerged as a surprising contender for Rashford’s signature.

The Bundesliga club, who have previously provided a platform for underutilised Premier League stars, could replicate the success of their Jadon Sancho loan deal last season.

Rashford is seen as a solution to Dortmund’s attacking problems as they aim to bolster their squad for the second half of the season.

However, Rashford’s reported weekly wage of over £325,000 could be a sticking point.

Manchester United are reportedly insisting that any club taking Rashford on loan must cover a significant portion of his salary, which could complicate Dortmund’s pursuit.

Other Clubs Are Interested in Rashford

Dortmund aren’t the only club in the mix. Serie A giants AC Milan and Juventus are also exploring a potential move for the England international.

Closer to home, several Premier League clubs are monitoring Rashford’s situation, which could spark a bidding war for his services.

Rashford has reportedly turned down offers from Saudi Pro League clubs, signalling a preference to stay in Europe and compete at the highest level.

Manchester United face Arsenal on Sunday in the FA Cup, and while Rashford’s absence continues to raise eyebrows, his potential departure could dominate the headlines in the weeks ahead.
