The latest Antoine Semenyo transfer news suggests that Bournemouth would be willing to listen to offers for their star forward.

According to reports, Liverpool are very interested in the 24-year-old. The Ghanaian international has been highlighted as a potential replacement for Mo Salah.

However, the Cherries will not enter into negotiations until the summer. Manager Andoni Iraola would not entertain any bids whatsoever for Semenyo in January.

The former Bristol City man is one of Iraola’s key players and losing him halfway through the season could prove disastrous for the South Coast club.

Also, the Reds are understood to be prioritising other positions when the transfer window opens next month. With that said, the Premier League leaders aren’t expected to spend big.

Antoine Semenyo Transfer News Puts Liverpool On Red Alert

If the latest Antoine Semenyo transfer news is true, Liverpool are likely to test Bournemouth‘s resolve with a firm offer in the summer.

A valuation hasn’t been indicated by the Cherries at this stage. However, it would likely take an offer of at least £40 million to tempt the South Coast side into negotiations.

Semenyo has made a flying start to the 2024/25 campaign – netting four times and providing one assist in 12 appearances.

Overall, the London-born star has scored 13 Premier League goals in 59 outings. Something of which that would certainly appeal to the Reds is Semenyo’s versatility.

He is comfortable playing in a variety of positions including as a winger on either flank, a forward and as a secondary striker. Semenyo has played the majority of his games on the right-hand side.

With that in mind – and being only 24 – the Ghanaian international has been touted as a possible replacement for Mo Salah. The Egyptian King is yet to pen a new deal at Anfield and PSG are reportedly circling amongst other suitors.

However, the Reds are understood to be preparing fresh for Salah to sign. After the recent 3-2 win over Southampton, the player himself itted he was more ‘out than in.’

Only time will tell if Salah does stay on at Merseyside but Semenyo is firmly locked in as a potential new star who could fill the void.

The Premier League leaders will need to be slick in any possible negotiations with Bournemouth. Semenyo is expected to attract interest from the likes of Newcastle and Tottenham this summer as well.
