Vinicius Jr To MISS Real Madrid’s Champions League Clash With Liverpool

Real Madrid have confirmed Vinicius Jr has picked up an injury ahead of Wednesday’s Champions League clash with Liverpool and is set to miss the big European clash.

Vinicius Jr Injured Days Before Liverpool Showdown

Real Madrid at Anfield on Wednesday night and the visitors will be without a number of key players.

Vinicius Jr is the latest star set to miss the European clash after picking up a muscle injury at the weekend.

The Brazilian played the full 90 minutes of Real’s 3-0 win over Leganes on Sunday.

The 24-year-old set up Kylian Mbappe in the victory but is now a major doubt to face Arne Slot’s side.

Real confirmed on their website that their star man has picked up a muscle injury. A website statement said that he had been “diagnosed with an injury to the femoral biceps of his left leg”. The club are now waiting on how long he will be sidelined for.

Fabrizio Romano reported that the Brazilian football star will be out for around three weeks.

Real Madrid Injury List Mounts

News of Vinicius Jr’s injury is another huge blow for Carlo Ancelotti as the Real Madrid boss is already out several key men.

Lucas Vazquez and Aurelien Tchouameni are also doubts for the trip to Anfield after missing the win over Leganes.

David Alaba, Eder Militao, Dani Carvajal and Rodrygo are also sidelined and will miss the trip to Liverpool.
