Former NFL player Taylor Lewan made headlines for all the wrong reasons, as the Bussin’ With The Boys podcast host threw one of the worst first pitches you’ll ever see.

Watch: Taylor Lewan Throws Terrible First Pitch

Lewan and his podcast co-host, former NFL linebacker Will Compton, threw out the ceremonial first pitch at Busch Stadium before Thursday’s game between the St. Louis Cardinals and Kansas City Royals.

, Lewan and Compton combined for over 15 years of NFL experience. These are two sensational athletes.

Lewan elected to throw before Compton. Credit to Lewan for stepping on the mound to throw the pitch.

Perhaps the former Tennessee Titans lineman should have stood on the grass to make the pitch.

Lewan, a lefty, missed home plate completely. Instead, the six-foot-seven Lewan launched the ball down to the right of home plate and over the first baseline.

The pitch was so poor that the announcer yelled, “Look out!” to the people standing behind home plate. Thankfully, no one suffered physical damage.

However, Lewan might have some emotional baggage on his hands until he gets another shot at a first pitch.

Meanwhile, Compton one-upped his podcast partner and threw an excellent pitch down the middle.

Taylor Lewan’s First Pitch Will Live In Infamy

Videos on the internet live forever, and Lewan knows it. The Southpaw owned the first pitch blunder and faced the criticism on social media.

“This is the worst day of my athletic career, and that includes the Chandler Jones game,” Lewan wrote on X. “I need redemption.”

The hits kept on coming for Lewan. NFL Hall of Famer Peyton Manning texted Lewan with the clip and sarcastically wrote, “Outstanding.”

Lewan’s pitch made First Take this morning, as Stephen A. Smith, Molly Qerim, and Ryan Clark shared a good laugh breaking it down.

Lewan’s first pitch was bad, but it’s still nowhere near as poor as the pitches thrown by 50 Cent, Conor McGregor, and Gary Dell’Abate.
