Michelle Beadle and Stephen A. Smith were once colleagues at ESPN. Smith remains at ESPN, most notably on his show First Take, which is the highest-rated show on ESPN. Beadle left ESPN in the summer of 2019.
To say the two of them do not get along is an understatement.
The feud between Beadle and Smith dates back to 2014. Back in 2014, Smith made controversial comments regarding domestic violence. While discussing Ray Rice’s suspension, Smith suggested women might bear some responsibility for provoking abuse. This was widely condemned.
This sparked backlash from Michelle Beadle, who was once in an abusive relationship. She posted on X, “I was in an abusive relationship once. I’m aware that men & women can both be the ab. To spread a message that we not ‘provoke’ is wrong.”

Smith later apologized for his remarks. He acknowledged it as a significant error in his career.
Beadle has since made many remarks about her not liking Stephen A. Smith.
Well, the feud and rage Beadle has towards Smith just got worse. Stephen A. Smith is taking Beadle’s slot on SiriusXM in September. Beadle would make her feelings about it known.

Stephen A. Smith announced on Wednesday that he will be ing SiriusXM to host two shows starting in September. This will come at the cost of the Beadle and Decker show. Smith’s show will be replacing it.
Beadle is not very happy about the news, and she wasted no time letting it be known.
“Welcome to the Lame Duck and Who Knew? show here,” joked Beadle with Cody Decker yelling “fired” in the background. “Also known as Beadle and Decker. We got three hours of a show, for God knows how many more days, and we are here to bring that to you.
“Thibs, at least they told you,” Beadle said, referring to the recent decision from the New York Knicks to fire head coach Tom Thibodeau. “All I ask is to be treated with respect. Here we are, we’re going to do our shows because we’re contractually obligated to be here.”
“It’s a reminder: We’re just all pieces of sh*t to someone,” Beadle told Front Office Sports. “If you forgot, there it is.”
Beadle would go on to blast Smith. She said, “I don’t respect him.” Beadle added. “I don’t respect his work. He doesn’t like me. This goes back to the Ray Rice stuff. He made some really piggish comments on the air. I responded; he got suspended for like two weeks. I think that was sort of the beginning of the end for anything,” she said. “I just don’t respect him. I think he gets things wrong all the time. I’m not talking about opinions; those can never be wrong. But factually, when you spread yourself so thin, it’s hard to be right. Not a fan.”
