Good Morning Football began on NFL Network on August 1, 2016.

The original cast of GMFB consisted of Kay Adams (host), Nate Burleson (analyst), Peter Schrager (analyst), and Kyle Brandt (analyst).

The only original cast member to remain on GMFB is Kyle Brandt.

Kay Adams left and hosts her own show on FanDuel.

Nate Burleson left to become a morning host on CBS Mornings.

Peter Schrager recently left GMFB and ed ESPN.

It was announced via NFL Media on X that GMFB will feature an all-female cast on June 5 and 6.

NFL Network Running All Female Cast For GMFB On June 5 & 6

NFL Network will feature an all-female crew for GMFB on June 5 and 6.

Jamie Erdahl, Jane Slater, Cynthia Frelund, Kelsey Conway, Madelyn Burke, and Tamara Brown will host.

Andrea Kremer, Tracy Wolfson, Ki’lolo Westerlund, Dawn Mitchell, Melissa Etheridge, and Allison Kuch are the analysts.

Erdahl, Slater, Frelund, and Kremer work at NFL Network. Tracy Wolfson is the lead sideline reporter for CBS, covering the NFL and NCAAM.

Those five are the notable talents. The others are not nearly as known.

This is unfortunate that the NFL Network went with so many unknowns instead of bringing on some well-established talents who used to be part of the NFL Network.

Who Should Have Been Chosen To Be On The All-Female GMFB Cast

Instead of selecting a lot of unknown talent, the NFL Network should have brought back some of the talent that used to be on the Network that are now thriving after leaving NFL Network.

Here are some women who are no longer with NFL Network that should have been used as talents for the all-female GMFB episodes.

  • Kay Adams: Kay used to host GMFB. She hosted GMFB for six years before departing NFL Network. Kay now hosts her own show on FanDuel and should have been brought on to be a host for a show she indeed hosted for six years.
  • Melissa Stark: Melissa used to be a reporter for NFL Network. She is now the sideline reporter for NBC’s Sunday Night Football. This is arguably the best job a sideline reporter can ask for. Stark should have been brought on as an analyst.
  • Molly Qerim: Molly used to be on NFL Network as a host of the weekday morning show “NFL AM” and NFL Fantasy Live. She now hosts the most-watched show on ESPN, First Take, and she should have been brought on to be a host. Qerim is one of the best hosts in sports media.
  • Aditi Kinkhabwala: Aditi spent 10 years at NFL Network as a National Correspondent. She mostly covered the AFC North. Kinkhabwala is now a sideline reporter for CBS (NFL) and is a host on We Need To Talk. She would have been a great option as a host or analyst.
