Kyle Larson isn’t the only NASCAR National Series driver pulling double-duty this weekend. The 2021 Cup champion is just doing it at an elite level. While Larson is garnering much of the national spotlight for attempting “The Double,” competing in the Cup Series’ Coca-Cola 600 at Charlotte Motor Speedway hours after driving in the Indianapolis 500, William Sawalich continues to make his way through the lower ranks by working overtime.

The Xfinity Series rookie remains slated to contend for Saturday’s BetMGM 300 title after appearing in Friday’s ARCA Menards Series event at the 1.5-mile quad oval. In his previous four ARCA outings this season, Sawalich recorded three P2s and two pole positions.

Sawalich will pilot the No. 18 Toyota at CMS for the first time in his Xfinity career. He ranks 25th in the drivers’ standings, highlighted by two top-10 finishes in 12 outings.

JGR teammate Chase Briscoe, a Cup regular, will also make his Xfinity Series debut for the Huntersville, North Carolina-based organization.

Pair Receives Top Race Odds

Xfinity Series points leader Justin Allgaier and Cup regular William Byron drew the top sports-betting odds for Saturday’s event at Charlotte. FanDuel Sportsbook tabbed Allgaier and Byron as the race favorites (+370).

With 86 career Xfinity starts and 11 wins, Briscoe returns to the circuit for the first time since July 2022. He received the next-best odds at +450.
