Connor Mosack Endures NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Skid; Corey Heim Earns Top Drivers’ Championship Odds

After placing third and watching Carson Hocevar celebrate in Victory Lane at Kansas Speedway last Saturday, NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series points leader Corey Heim quickly shifted his focus to North Wilkesboro Speedway.
Last year, Heim cruised to victory at the historic 0.625-mile oval. Entering Saturday’s Window World 250, Heim, with three wins and eight top-10 finishes in nine starts, holds a 64-point lead over Chandler Smith in the drivers’ standings.
Tabbed with +130 sports-betting odds, Heim’s also remains a heavy favorite to capture his first circuit championship. Smith (+375) rose to the second-best odds and reigning champ Ty Majeski (+400) fell back to third.

Connor Mosack’s Skid Continues
Connor Mosack and crew chief Blake Bainbridge have yet to capture the speed the No. 81 Chevrolet team expected when they entered the season.
The anticipation was buoyed by Mosack earning the Week 2 pole position at Atlanta, but the team’s results remain curious through nine events. Mosack posted just one top-10 finish and ranks 20th in the drivers’ standings.
Last Saturday at Kansas, Mosack raced with the lead pack but endured a poor green-flag pit stop, which put him a lap down. He spun out late, placing P18.
“We had some decent speed, but we just fought loose all night,” Mosack said via press release. “We’ll get back to work and hopefully we can turn it around at North Wilkesboro next weekend.”
Is time running out on Mosack’s campaign?
Another top 10 day that got away from us. Got our balance close in Stage 3 and worked our way in the top 3 before we took damage avoiding a crash. Speed’s there just need things to go our way. On to Wilkesboro this weekend. @BMR_NASCAR pic.twitter.com/dYaP3aDxqA
