Ahead of the 2025 NFL Mock Draft. Here are the three biggest takeaways.

Giants Take Abdul Carter, Trade Back Into First To Take Jaxson Dart

In Schrager’s mock, the New York Giants have their cake and eat it too.

Like most mocks, the Giants are projected to take Penn State’s Abdul Carter at No. 3. The sensational edge rusher will pair nicely with Brian Burns, Dexter Lawrence, and Kayvon Thibodeaux.

“In the end, the Giants ed on Micah Parsons in 2021, instead trading down and taking wide receiver Kadarius Toney,” Schrager writes. “I can’t see them ing on another star rusher from Penn State.”

The Giants need to take a young quarterback, and Schrager believes they will trade with the Rams at No. 26 to take Ole Miss’ Jaxson Dart.

Dart would be the third quarterback selected in the first round, following Miami’s Cam Ward and Colorado’s Shedeur Sanders.

Jacksonville Jaguars Make A Splash, Take Ashton Jeanty

Head coach Liam Coen and general manager James Gladstone want to make a statement in their draft debut.

Taking Boise State running back Ashton Jeanty would be a serious splash.

Running back isn’t a major need, as defense should be the priority. However, Jeanty could be the next Saquon Barkley, which would be a home run pick.

Shedeur Sanders Falls Outside Of The Top 20, Lands With The Steelers

Instead of waiting for Aaron Rodgers, Schrager has the Steelers taking their quarterback of the future in Sanders.

“I know Sanders had a good meeting in Pittsburgh when he visited a few weeks back,” Sanders said. “I also know the Steelers still don’t have a QB1 on their roster. This might be viewed as a ‘slip’ down the board for Sanders. He could go anywhere from No. 3 to the Giants to the second round.”

The Steelers only have two quarterbacks: Mason Rudolph and Skylar Thompson.

Sanders makes it three and becomes their quarterback of the future.
