Former Villanova head coach Jay Wright has revealed his March Madness 2025 bracket, including his picks and predictions.

Jay Wright Likes St. John’s To Reach Final Four

During CBS’ coverage of Selection Sunday, Wright revealed his picks for the 2025 NCAA Tournament.

In the West Region, Wright believes Rick Pitino and No. 2 St. John’s will reach the Final Four.

“I like the Johnnies sneaking out of the West to get to the Final Four,” Wright said after picking St. John’s to go to the Final Four.

Pitino’s magical season with St. John’s continues in his second year at the helm. After going 20-13 in 2024, Pitino completely transformed St. John’s into a national power this year with a 30-4 record.

The Red Storm capped off a dominant regular season with a Big East Championship, the program’s first since 2000.

Now, St. John’s is a two-seed and can do major damage in this tournament because of their ability to rebound and defend.

As for the rest of the bracket, Wright likes No. 1 Auburn, No. 1 Duke, and No. 1 Houston.

Jay Wright Reveals His Final Four

Jay Wright’s Final Four:

  • No. 1 Auburn in the South Region
  • No. 2 St. John’s in the West Region
  • No. 1 Duke in the East Region
  • No. 1 Houston in the Midwest Region

Wright quickly explained his picks on the broadcast.

“I like Auburn coming out of the South,” Wright said. “Obviously, Duke in the East. Houston in the Midwest. And then in my championship game, I have Houston-Auburn.”

In the battle between Auburn and Houston, Wright believes the Tigers will be cutting down the nets in San Antonio.

A win in the championship would be Auburn’s first national title in school history. It would also mark Bruce Pearl’s first Division I championship as a head coach.
