Former NBA All-Star Jeff Teague is one of the funniest podcasters on the internet. On his show Club 520, Teague hilariously explained why he pushed LeBron James during the 2016 NBA Playoffs.

Jeff Teague Explains Why He Pushed LeBron James

During the 2016 NBA Playoffs, Teague’s Atlanta Hawks faced James’ Cleveland Cavaliers in the Eastern Conference Semis.

Club 520 co-host Bishop B. Henn asked Teague what his issue was when Teague pushed James late in the fourth quarter of the Hawks’ 121-108 Game 3 loss to the Cavaliers.

Teague laughed it off and apologized to “GOAT James.”

Teague itted to being a “sore loser” and taking out his frustration on the Cavaliers superstar.

The Hawks’ point guard was never on the winning side of a playoff game against James, so Teague gave him a shoulder check into the stands.

Teague spoke about the hate mail he received for the cheap shot against James. The vitriol became so hateful that Teague deleted his Instagram.

Jeff Teague Has Quickly Become One Of The NBA’s Best Storytellers

Teague’s laugh-out-loud stories have become an internet sensation.

Nas the Franchise recently wrote on X, “Jeff Teague the greatest storyteller ever dude.” The comment went viral and inspired hundreds of fans to post their favorite stories from Teague.

During an interview with Evan Turner, Teague explained how his initials of “JT” were hijacked by Jayson Tatum during his one season with the Boston Celtics.

Celtics coach Brad Stevens referred to Teague as “Jet” instead of “JT,” causing the co-hosts to erupt in laughter.

Another memorable story involved Teague and the Milwaukee Bucks after they won the 2021 NBA Championship.

Teague called the Bucks afterparty “trash,” electing to drive home to Indianapolis that night to play NBA 2K.
