New York Jets decided to part ways with the 41-year-old quarterback. If Rodgers plays next season, he named two things he wants to see.

Two Things Aaron Rodgers Wants From A New Team

Rodgers recently completed a workout in Southern California when TMZ Sports caught up with the four-time MVP.

When the reporter asked Rodgers what he wanted from a new team, the quarterback kept it simple.

Rodgers needs the team to want him, and they have to be good.

Earlier this month, Jets first-year head coach Aaron Glenn and general manager Darren Mougey informed Rodgers they will not be moving forward with him at quarterback.

The Jets are expected to release Rodgers this offseason, ending a two-year run in New York.

Rodgers famously suffered an Achilles tear in his first game as a Jet in 2023. After missing the rest of the season, Rodgers returned as the starter.

The four-time MVP threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. However, the Jets went 5-12 and fired both their coach and general manager.

What Teams Fit Rodgers Criteria?

What teams fit Rodgers’ criteria?

The first part is much easier than the second. Several teams would be interested in g Rodgers for cheap if he’s released by the Jets.

However, the “good team” makes things complicated.

The New York Giants, Las Vegas Raiders, Tennessee Titans, and Cleveland Browns all need quarterbacks, but all four are not considered good.

The Pittsburgh Steelers are the best team that fits Rodgers’ preferences.

The Steelers have finished at least .500 in Mike Tomlin’s 18 seasons. With average quarterback play, Pittsburgh made the playoffs the past two seasons.

Depending on what happens in Minnesota, keep an eye on the Vikings as a dark horse team for Rodgers.
