For the second consecutive season, the Dak Prescott has to be drooling given his history against the Bucs.

The seventh-year signal-caller has squared off with them three times thus far during his career and has played stellar football in those contests, so much so that Dak actually owns an NFL record against Tampa Bay.

Prescott first squared off with the Buccaneers late in his rookie season of 2016, the campaign in which he led the Cowboys to a 13-3 record and won Offensive Rookie of the Year.

Coming off a Week 14 loss to the Giants, Dallas hosted Tampa Bay in Week 15 and got back on track with a 26-20 victory to move to 12-2 on the year. While Dak didn’t throw a touchdown that day, he completed a ridiculous 88.9% of his es (32-for-36) for 279 yards and ran for a score, one of four rushes for 20 yards.

Prescott’s second matchup with the Bucs was another late-season contest in 2018. Once again, the Cowboys were coming off a loss, a Week 15 defeat at the hands of the Colts, 23-0. But again, Dallas came back strong and knocked off Tampa by nearly the same score as two years earlier, winning 27-20.

Dak again picked apart the Bucs’ defense, completing 80% (20-for-25) of his es for 161 yards and a touchdown, also again rushing for a score.

And then there was last year’s opening-week matchup with Tom Brady. While the Cowboys took a heartbreaking loss, 31-29, Prescott played brilliantly, completing 72.4% (42-for-58) of his es for 403 yards and three touchdowns with a pick.

So in three matchups with Tampa Bay, Dak Prescott has completed 79% (94-for-119) of his es. That’s the highest completion percentage of any quarterback in NFL history with at least 100 attempts against one team.
